Safe Haven Cameroon, in collaboration with Lead Child Africa and Beauty for Ashes Kenya, is hosting a Pan-African webinar on Saturday, 24th February 2024 at 11:00 am (WAT) to commemorate the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The webinar will focus on the theme “Her Voice, Her Future. Investing in Survivor-Led Movements.” This event aims to promote awareness, share survivor stories, and advocate for policies to end FGM across Africa. With participants from all over the continent, we will explore the cultural, legal, and social dimensions of FGM, and highlight successful community-led initiatives.

Advocacy and Policy Influencing on FGM: Legal frameworks and advocacy success stories.

Survivor Stories: Giving a platform to those directly impacted to inspire change.
This webinar will bring together activists, survivors, legal experts, and medical professionals to discuss the urgent need for action against FGM and strengthen survivor-led movements across Africa.

Raise awareness of FGM’s impact and the importance of survivor-led change.
Target Participants: 100 young people, especially survivors of FGM or other forms of gender-based violence, and activists across Africa.
