March 10 - April 18
Free
Safe Haven Cameroon in collaboration with Wanda’s Legacy and Lead Child Africa is launching the Empowering Communities to Combat Rape and Support Survivors: A Holistic Approach(ECCRSS) project funded by Rescue Women Cameroon, a critical initiative designed to address the devastating issue of rape in Yaoundé. This project takes a multifaceted approach to combat sexual violence, focusing on sensitization campaigns, skills acquisition workshops, and digital advocacy. Through community engagement and empowerment, we aim to provide survivors with the tools to rebuild their lives while creating lasting awareness around the issue of rape.
Social Media Campaign on Rape Advocacy
o amplify the fight against rape and ensure that the message reaches a global audience, Safe Haven Cameroon will run an online social media campaign across platforms such as Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok. This campaign will serve as a platform to raise awareness, educate, and empower individuals to take action against sexual violence.
The social media campaign will feature a combination of powerful educational videos, infographics, survivor testimonies, and interactive live sessions. The content will explore the root causes of rape, the psychological impacts on survivors, and the resources available for those seeking help.
Throughout the campaign, we will use hashtags such as #VoicesOfCourage, #FromTraumaToTriumph, #SayNoToRape, and #HealingBeyondHurt to help spread our message and encourage community involvement. We will also host interactive live sessions where experts and survivors share their stories and provide advice on how to combat sexual violence within our communities.
By engaging users through compelling content and survivor stories, this digital campaign aims to foster a sense of collective responsibility, urging everyone to stand against rape and support survivors.
